But there weren't any Abrams tanks in Men of War, so let's discuss what they did have. All factions had tanks like this throughout the course of World War II, and after seeing how cost effective it is to make a good tank that can do everything to some extent, led way to the formation of the Main Battle Tank in today's modern world. The most prolific examples of this are the Sherman series of tanks and the T-34 line up. It would have a decent main gun, sufficient armour, good speed, and a standard weight and profile. Generally this will be a tank that can balance the attributes of all other tanks. A large number of medium tanks fill this role. The General Purpose tank is a descriptive term that I will use here for tanks that seem to do it all. ![]()
